§ 77529 Forest Product Promotion

• •This law is about promoting wood products, like furniture or paper, in the U.S. and other countries.
• •It does not cover selling raw logs or rough wood to other countries for them to make into something else.
• •The goal is to help sell finished wood products, not just the raw materials.

A company makes wooden chairs in California and wants to sell them in Japan.

This law supports promoting those chairs in Japan, but it doesn’t help if the company just wants to sell uncut trees or rough wood planks to Japan for them to turn into chairs.
