§ 76751 Council Financial Records Access

Key Takeaways

  • •The council must keep records of all its money stuff, like deals, contracts, and spending.
  • •These records must always be available for the director to check or audit.
  • •This rule was added in 1988 to make sure everything is clear and honest.

Example

Imagine the council spends money to fix a park.

They have to write down how much they spent, who they paid, and what the money was for. Then, if the director wants to see these notes, the council has to show them.
