§ 6926 Nursery Stock Movement Manifest

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't move plants (like trees or flowers) from one place to another in the same county without a special paper called a 'manifest' if the plant boss says so.
  • •The plant boss might ask you to stop and check your plants before you move them.
  • •If you don’t follow this rule, you’re breaking the law.

Example

You have a bunch of young trees in your backyard and want to sell them to your neighbor across town.

If the plant boss (commissioner) says those trees need to be checked first, you can’t just move them. You have to fill out a manifest (a paper saying where the trees are going) and wait for the okay. If you move them without doing this, you’re breaking the law.
