§ 67141 Marketing Standards Implementation

Key Takeaways

  • •New rules for farming or selling crops start at the beginning of the next selling season.
  • •The person in charge (the secretary) decides when the new rules begin.
  • •The rules don’t start right away—they wait until the next selling season.

Example

A farmer grows strawberries and sells them every summer. The government makes a new rule in October about how strawberries must be packed.

The farmer doesn’t have to follow the new packing rule right away. Instead, they start using it at the beginning of the next summer selling season.
