§ 67039 Avocado Producer Definition

• •A 'producer' or 'grower' is someone who grows avocados to sell in this state.
• •If you grow less than 10,000 pounds of avocados per year (on average over 3 years), you are not considered a 'producer' or 'grower' under this law.

A farmer sells avocados at the local market.

If the farmer sells 15,000 pounds of avocados every year, they are a 'producer' under this law. But if they only sell 5,000 pounds a year, they are not.
