§ 66577 Meeting Notice Nonreceipt Validity

• •If you don’t get a notice about a meeting to pick commissioners or about voting, it’s still okay.
• •The meeting, the picking of commissioners, or the voting won’t be canceled just because someone didn’t get the notice.
• •This rule was added in 1977.

Imagine your neighborhood is voting for a new park leader, but you never got the letter telling you about the vote.

Even if you didn’t get the letter, the vote still counts. The leader picked is still the real leader.
