§ 66575 Handler Commissioner Nominations

Key Takeaways

  • •The boss (director) sets up meetings for people who handle stuff (handlers) in each area to pick who they want to be a leader (commissioner).
  • •The boss runs the meeting, takes names of who people want to pick, and tells everyone how to vote by mail.
  • •After the meetings, the boss sends out voting papers (ballots) to all handlers within 10 days.
  • •Everyone must send their voting papers back to the boss within 10 days of getting them.

Example

Imagine your school is picking a new student council leader.

The principal (like the director) calls a meeting where students (handlers) suggest names of who they want to lead. The principal then sends out voting slips to all students, and they have 10 days to mail them back.
