§ 6443 Plant Inspection Exemptions

Key Takeaways

  • •Some plants coming into the state don’t need to be checked if they’re not for growing or decorating.
  • •The boss (director) decides which plants skip the check.
  • •Only plants from certain places that won’t bring bugs or pests can skip the check.

Example

A truck brings in a bunch of dried flowers from another state to sell in stores.

If the boss says those dried flowers won’t bring bugs, the truck can drive right in without stopping for a check.
