§ 6222 Winegrape District Formation Order

Key Takeaways

  • •If the local government thinks a winegrape project is a good idea, they can officially create a special area (district) for it.
  • •The government must describe the boundaries of this special area, usually using the same description from the original request.
  • •A copy of the official decision must be recorded with the county to make it official.

Example

A group of winegrape farmers in Napa County want to work together to improve their vineyards. They ask the local government to create a special district to help them.

If the government agrees that this is a good idea, they will officially create the district and describe where it is. They will then record this decision to make it official.
