§ 6213 Grape District Boundary Requirements

• •The petition must include the name of the proposed district and describe its boundaries or the lands to be included.
• •It is sufficient to say that all the grape acreage in the county or a designated area within the county is included in the district.
• •If either of these designations is used, the outside boundary of the area is the boundary of the district, and all area within that boundary is included.

A group of grape farmers in Napa County want to create a new district for their farms.

They can simply say in their petition that all the grape farms in Napa County are included in the district. This means the boundary of the district will be the outer edge of Napa County, and all grape farms inside that edge are part of the district.
