§ 61963 Marketing Area Consolidation Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •The boss can combine two or more areas where milk is sold if they work the same way.
  • •Before combining, the boss must hold a public meeting to listen to people in those areas.
  • •The areas must already have rules in place for selling milk.

Example

Two nearby towns both have the same rules for selling milk from local farms.

The boss can hold a meeting and decide to combine these two towns into one bigger area for selling milk if everyone agrees it makes sense.
