§ 6079 Cotton Land Inclusion Petitions

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own land where cotton grows, you can ask to join a special group that helps stop bugs from hurting cotton.
  • •The group's leaders decide if your land can be part of the group.
  • •If they say yes, they write it down and tell the county office so everyone knows.

Example

A farmer named John grows cotton on his land. He hears about a group that helps protect cotton from bugs and wants to join.

John can ask the group's leaders to include his land. If they agree, they will write an order and send a copy to the county office so it's official.
