§ 59694 Producer Marketing Program Dismissal

Key Takeaways

  • •If not enough farmers agree to a new marketing plan, the old plan stays in place.
  • •The old plan keeps working like nothing ever changed.
  • •The government stops any process to change the farming area boundaries if the new plan isn’t approved.

Example

A group of orange farmers wants to change how they sell their oranges together, but not enough farmers agree to the new plan.

Since most farmers didn’t say yes, the old way of selling oranges stays the same, and the government won’t change the farming area rules.
