§ 58654 Commodity Marketing Regulation

Key Takeaways

  • •This law helps farmers in the state sell their stuff better by matching what they grow with what people want to buy.
  • •It makes sure that food and other farm products are the same good quality and ready to sell.
  • •It tries to find new places to sell farm products and remove problems that stop them from being sold.
  • •It wants to stop wasting money and help farmers earn enough to live well.
  • •It teaches people how food is grown and helps city and country people work together.

Example

A group of orange farmers in the state want to sell more oranges but don’t know where to send them.

This law helps them find new stores or even other states to sell their oranges. It also makes sure all the oranges are the same good quality so stores will want to buy them. If there’s a problem like a rule stopping oranges from being sold somewhere, this law helps fix that too.
