§ 5783 Host Plant Restrictions

• •You can't grow certain plants in special areas or times called 'host-free' zones.
• •The government decides which plants are banned and where/when you can't grow them.
• •If they tell you about the ban, you must follow it or you're breaking the law.

If the government says no one can grow oranges in a certain county for 6 months to stop a bug from spreading, you can't plant orange trees there during that time.

Even if you really like oranges, you have to wait until the ban is over. If you plant them anyway, you're breaking the law.
