§ 52944 Cottonseed Assessment Payment Deadline

The assessment shall be paid to the secretary within one calendar month after July 1 of each year, for cottonseed delinted in the preceding fiscal year or portion of a fiscal year beginning July 1, except that no assessment shall be paid by any person or organization for any cottonseed for which the assessment has been previously paid. If not paid within that period, a penalty of 10 percent of the assessment owed shall be due and payable to the secretary. (Amended by Stats. 1995, Ch. 136, Sec. 27. Effective January 1, 1996.
