§ 41753 Inspection Station Location Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can decide where to put inspection stations for crops after talking to the public.
  • •They think about how close the stations are to farms, other stations, and if it’s fair for farmers and crop dryers.
  • •If no rules are set yet, inspections happen at the crop dryer or a spot the dryer picks.

Example

A farmer grows grapes and needs them checked before selling.

The government will pick a nearby place for the check, so the farmer doesn’t have to drive too far. If no place is picked yet, the check happens where the grapes are dried.
