§ 40874 Tomato Load Registration Requirement

A farmer brings a truck full of tomatoes to a factory to sell them.

The farmer must tell the factory about the tomatoes right away and get a paper from the factory showing what time the tomatoes arrived. If the farmer doesn’t do this, they can’t use this law to help them if there’s a problem later.
