§ 36091 Milk Farm Score Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Farmers can sell their milk even if their farm doesn't meet the cleanliness score, but only for a little while.
  • •The farm must get a copy of the bad score right away.
  • •If the farm is still dirty 10 days later, they get another check. If it's still bad, they can't sell milk for 60 hours.

Example

A dairy farm gets a low cleanliness score during an inspection.

The farm can keep selling milk until they get a copy of the bad score. If they clean up and pass the next check in 10 days, they can keep selling. If not, they have to stop selling milk for 60 hours.
