§ 35788 Milk Grade Representation Rules

• •You can't sell milk and call it 'guaranteed' or 'grade A' unless someone official checks it first.
• •The person who checks the milk must be approved by the boss in charge or be the boss themselves.
• •This rule is to make sure milk is safe and good quality before it's sold.

A farmer wants to sell milk at the store and calls it 'grade A milk'.

The farmer can't do this unless the milk is checked by someone the state says is okay to check milk. If the farmer sells it without checking, they are breaking the law.
