§ 34625 Milk Container Sanitation Rules

• •Milk containers must be clean and germ-free when given to dairy producers or sellers.
• •These containers can only be used for milk or milk products, nothing else.
• •If you reuse a milk container, it must be washed and sanitized first.

A dairy farm gets empty milk jugs back from a store to refill.

The farm must wash and sanitize those jugs before putting new milk in them. They can't use the jugs for anything else, like storing juice or soap.
