§ 34065 Pasteurization Equipment Records

• •If you use a machine to pasteurize milk (or other dairy), you must keep records of any changes, fixes, or maintenance done to that machine.
• •You have to keep these records for at least one year.
• •Government workers (like health inspectors) can check these records anytime to make sure everything is safe.

A dairy farm uses a big machine to heat milk so it’s safe to drink. One day, they fix a broken part in the machine.

The farm must write down what they fixed and keep that note for at least a year. If a health inspector visits, they can ask to see these notes to make sure the machine is working safely.
