§ 33515 Dairy Water Supply Standards

• •The water used in milk houses, dairy barns, and similar places must be clean and safe to drink.
• •The water supply must be easy to reach, have enough water, and be protected from dirt or germs.
• •The water must meet the health standards set by the state for drinking water.

A farmer has a dairy barn where cows are milked.

The water used to clean the barn and milking equipment must be as clean as the water you drink at home. If the water is dirty, it could make the milk unsafe.
