§ 29674 Honey Container Labeling Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't put honey in a container that has old or wrong labels on it.
  • •If the container has old labels, you must remove or cover them up before using it.
  • •The labels on the container must match what's actually inside.

Example

You have an old jar that used to hold cheap honey, but now you want to put expensive honey in it.

You can't just fill the jar with the expensive honey and leave the old label on. You have to remove or cover up the old label so people aren't tricked into thinking it's the cheap honey.
