§ 29671 Honey Labeling And Sales

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't sell or move honey that's mixed with other stuff and call it pure honey.
  • •All honey sold must follow the rules about how it's labeled and packed.
  • •This applies to honey in any container, big or small.

Example

A store sells a jar labeled 'Pure Honey' but it's actually mixed with corn syrup.

This is against the law because the honey is not pure and the label is lying.
