§ 29202 Apiary Pest Inspection Marking

Key Takeaways

  • •If a bee inspector checks your beehives and finds bugs or diseases, they will mark the hives that are sick.
  • •The inspector might put a special sealed band around a hive that has a problem.
  • •This helps everyone know which hives are not healthy.

Example

You have beehives in your backyard, and a bee inspector comes to check them.

If the inspector sees that one of your hives has bugs or a disease, they will put a mark on it or wrap a sealed band around it. This shows that the hive is sick and needs attention.
