§ 26651 Poultry Brand Tampering Ban

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't put a fake mark on someone else's chicken or turkey.
  • •You can't mess up or remove the real mark on someone else's chicken or turkey.
  • •Doing this to steal the bird or hide who it really belongs to is against the law.

Example

You see a chicken with your neighbor's mark on it, and you change the mark to make it look like it's yours.

This is illegal because you changed the mark to hide who the chicken really belongs to.
