§ 25560 Poultry Owner Notification Duty

• •If you get a notice about bad poultry meat but you don’t own it all or can’t fix the problem, you must tell the officer who gave you the notice the names and addresses of the real owners or anyone else who has a claim to it.
• •If you knowingly hide the names or addresses of the real owners or others who have a claim to the poultry meat, you can be held responsible for any money they lose because of that.

You work at a store and get a notice that a batch of chicken is bad, but the chicken is owned by a supplier. You know the supplier’s name and address but don’t tell the officer who gave you the notice.

If the supplier loses money because you didn’t tell the officer about them, you could be held responsible for that loss.
