§ 24131 Consignment Certificate Retention

• •If you sell certain items, you must keep a special paper (certificate of consignment) for at least 2 years.
• •You have to show this paper if a police officer or an agent asks for it.
• •This rule applies to people who are covered by Section 24130.

You sell a used car to someone and fill out a certificate of consignment.

You must keep that paper for 2 years. If a police officer asks to see it, you have to show it to them.
