§ 23401 Horse Export Inspection Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own a horse, mule, or burro and want to send it out of the state, you can ask for an inspection.
  • •The inspection will cost the same as it does for cows.
  • •This rule doesn’t apply if the inspection is for another specific reason (like health checks in Chapter 9).

Example

You own a horse and want to sell it to someone in another state.

You can ask the state to check your horse before shipping it, and you’ll pay the same fee as you would for a cow.
