§ 2125 Director As Commissioner Duties

Key Takeaways

  • •If a county has no commissioner, the director steps in to do the commissioner's job.
  • •The director has the same power and duties as a real commissioner would.
  • •This rule has been around since 1967 and was updated in 1991.

Example

Imagine a small town where the person in charge of parks (the commissioner) quits, and no one is hired to replace them.

The director of the town would then take over the parks job, making all the decisions and doing all the work just like the commissioner did.
