§ 15073 Director Seizure Of Commercial Feed

This law lets the director take and keep any commercial animal feed if they think it breaks the rules in this chapter or its regulations.

Key Takeaways

  • •The director has the power to seize commercial feed.
  • •Seizure is allowed only if the director has reasonable cause to think the feed breaks the law.
  • •The feed can be held until the problem is resolved.

Example

A feed store sells a batch of chicken feed that the director thinks is contaminated or mislabeled.

Because the director believes the feed violates the rules, they can seize that batch and hold onto it until the issue is sorted out.
