§ 14155 Pesticide Applicator Certificate Discipline

This law lets the director stop, take away, or pause a pesticide applicator's certificate if they break the rules, don't properly watch pesticide use, or lie on paperwork.

Key Takeaways

  • •The director can refuse, revoke, or suspend a certificate after a hearing.
  • •Reasons include not following pesticide laws, not supervising pesticide use correctly, or making false records.
  • •The rule applies to anyone with a qualified applicator certificate.

Example

A farmer who is certified to spray pesticides forgets to follow the safety rules and later writes false numbers on the spray report.

Because the farmer broke the safety rules and lied on the report, the director can hold a hearing and then suspend or cancel the farmer's certification.
