§ 12205 Pest Control License Penalties

This law lets the director take away, pause, or refuse a pest‑control license if the holder breaks the rules, lies on paperwork, ignores business duties, or fails to watch over workers.

Key Takeaways

  • •Licenses can be refused, revoked, or suspended after a hearing.
  • •Breaking any part of this division, Division 7, or related rules can cause loss of the license.
  • •Faking or lying on any report or record is a reason to lose the license.
  • •Not doing the duties the law says a pest‑control business must do can lead to license loss.
  • •Failing to properly supervise staff and operations can also result in license loss.

Example

A pest‑control company does not keep accurate spray logs and the owner never checks that employees follow safety rules.

Because the company broke the record‑keeping rule and didn’t supervise its staff, the director can hold a hearing and then cancel or suspend the company’s license.
