§ 14063 Compound 1080 Use Permissions

This law says only certain people like government pest workers, labs, licensed pest control businesses, and pesticide sellers can have or sell the chemical called Compound 1080, and only for pest control or lab work.

Key Takeaways

  • •Only government pest workers, labs, licensed pest control companies, and pesticide sellers can have or sell Compound 1080.
  • •The chemical can only be used for pest control or lab research, not for anything else.
  • •The director can set extra rules, and sellers can also sell it to these approved users or send it out of the country.

Example

A city pest control officer uses Compound 1080 to get rid of rats in public parks.

Because the officer works for the city, the law lets him have and use the chemical to control pests, as long as he follows the director's rules.
