§ 10341 Vaccine Procurement Distribution

This law says the state must buy vaccines only from labs that the USDA's Agricultural Research Service has approved, and then the state department gives the vaccines out.

Key Takeaways

  • •Vaccines must come from labs licensed by the USDA Agricultural Research Service.
  • •The state department buys the vaccine directly from that lab.
  • •After buying, the department is in charge of giving out the vaccine.

Example

The state health department needs flu shots for schools. It orders the shots from a lab that has a USDA ARS license, then the department sends the shots to each school.

Because the lab is USDA‑approved, the purchase follows the law, and the department handles the delivery to the schools.
