§ 14008 Permit Violation Penalties

This law says a permit can be denied, taken away, or paused if you break its rules, break other permits, break related regulations, don’t pay a fine, or ignore a final order from the commissioner.

Key Takeaways

  • •Permits can be refused, revoked, or suspended.
  • •Violating any condition of the permit or any other permit can trigger this.
  • •Breaking related rules, not paying a civil penalty, or ignoring a final order also leads to loss of the permit.

Example

A restaurant gets a health permit but keeps serving food that doesn’t meet safety standards after being told to fix it.

Because the restaurant ignored the final order to clean up, the commissioner can suspend or cancel its permit, meaning it can’t legally serve food until it follows the rules.
