§ 11707 Late Fee Penalty Addition

If you don't pay a fee by its deadline, a penalty will be added to the amount you owe, and the director decides how big that penalty is.

Key Takeaways

  • •Pay fees on or before the due date.
  • •If you pay late, a penalty will be added.
  • •The director decides how much the penalty is, based on another law.

Example

You have to pay a $100 license renewal fee by June 30, but you wait until July 5 to pay.

Because you missed the June 30 deadline, a penalty will be tacked onto your $100 fee. The exact amount of the penalty is set by the director under another rule.
