§ 11503 County Pest Control Regulations

County commissioners can write extra rules about how pest‑control work is done and recorded, but those rules have to be approved by the state director before they take effect.

Key Takeaways

  • •County commissioners may add extra pest‑control rules that fit the county’s needs.
  • •The new rules must follow the state’s basic guidelines as much as possible.
  • •The state director must review and approve the county’s rules before they become active.
  • •All approved county rules are filed with the director for record‑keeping.

Example

A county commissioner decides that every pest‑control company must keep a daily log of the chemicals they use and file it with the county office.

The commissioner writes this rule, sends it to the state director, and the director checks that it makes sense and follows the state guidelines before the rule becomes official.
