§ 7611 Committee Vacancy Replacement Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone on the committee can't do the job anymore (like if they die, quit, move away, or aren't allowed to be on the committee), their spot becomes empty.
  • •The empty spot must be filled the way it says in Section 7612.
  • •If someone is kicked off the committee (because of Section 7642 or 7610), their spot becomes empty too, and it gets filled the same way.

Example

Imagine a school club where one of the leaders moves to another town.

Since the leader can't be in the club anymore, their spot is empty. The club rules say how to pick a new leader to finish the rest of the year.
