§ 7420 County Central Committee Elections

Key Takeaways

  • •Every time there's a presidential primary election, people can vote for new members to join the county central committee to replace those whose time is up.
  • •If the district lines change after the census, current committee members can run in the new district even if their term isn't over yet.
  • •If they win in the new district and take the oath, they automatically leave their old position.

Example

Imagine your neighborhood gets new borders, and you're on the local school board. Even if your term isn't done, you can run in the new area.

If you win in the new area and promise to do the job, you have to leave your old spot on the board.
