§ 6845 Peace And Freedom Delegate Filing

Key Takeaways

  • •If you get enough write-in votes in the Peace and Freedom Party presidential primary, you can pick delegates to go to the national convention.
  • •You have 37 days after the primary to give the Secretary of State a list of your delegates.
  • •The delegates you pick must live in the right places (like different parts of California) and must be registered voters with the Peace and Freedom Party.

Example

Imagine you ran as a write-in candidate in the Peace and Freedom Party primary and got enough votes to earn 3 delegates.

You now have 37 days to pick 3 people to be your delegates. These people must live in different areas of California and must be registered with the Peace and Freedom Party. You then send their names to the Secretary of State.
