§ 6003 Democratic Primary Voter Rules

• •Only people who say they are part of the Democratic Party can vote in their primary elections.
• •Some other voters might be allowed if they meet special rules.
• •This rule helps the Democratic Party choose their own candidate for bigger elections.

Imagine you want to vote for who will be the Democratic candidate for president in your state's primary election.

If you didn’t check the box saying you’re a Democrat when you registered to vote, you can’t vote in this election. Only people who said they are Democrats can pick the Democratic candidate.
