§ 15202 Ballot Transport Requirements

• •At least two precinct board members must handle the ballot delivery.
• •The ballots must be in a sealed container.
• •Delivery must happen right after the polls close.
• •The ballots go to a central counting place or a designated receiving station, and there can be more than one counting place.

After the voting ends on Election Day, two members of the local election board put all the ballots into a locked box and drive it to the city hall counting room.

Because the law requires two board members and a sealed container, the two officials together make sure the ballots are safely delivered to the central counting place right after voting stops.
