§ 88000 Community College Employee Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •This law applies to all workers in community college districts, unless they are in a special city-county with its own rules.
  • •If a community college is in a city-county that has its own hiring rules, this law doesn’t apply to those workers.
  • •The law covers things like hiring, firing, and job rules for these workers.

Example

A janitor works at a community college in a regular town.

This law tells the college how to hire, pay, and fire the janitor. But if the college is in a big city like San Francisco, which has its own rules, this law doesn’t apply.
