§ 81300 Community College Property Conveyances

Key Takeaways

  • •The community college board can accept or buy property for the college.
  • •The board can also sell property that belongs to the college.
  • •All buying and selling must be done in the college's name, not personal names.

Example

A community college wants to buy a new building for classes.

The college board must make sure the building is bought under the college's name, not a board member's name. If they sell an old building, it must also be sold in the college's name.
