§ 54007 School District Noninstructional Funds

• •Schools can ask to use some of their money for things like fixing vandalism, security, or insurance instead of just classroom stuff.
• •The total amount all schools in the state can spend on these things together is no more than $2,000,000.
• •The school boss and the money boss have to agree before the school can spend the money this way.

A school has graffiti on its walls and broken windows from vandalism.

The school can ask to use some of its money to clean up the graffiti and fix the windows, but only if the school boss and money boss say it's okay. They can't spend more than their share of $2,000,000 for the whole state.
