§ 52506 Class Standards And Funding

Key Takeaways

  • •The state sets rules for school classes, like how often kids must go, what they learn, and how schools are run.
  • •Schools get money from the state if they follow these rules.
  • •There’s a special book (handbook) that tells schools exactly what to do to get approved.

Example

A school wants to start a new science class.

The school must check the state’s handbook to make sure the class meets the rules (like what topics to teach and how many days kids must attend). If it follows the rules, the school gets extra money from the state.
