§ 52461 Agricultural Education Equipment Grants

• •Schools can get money from the state to buy or rent equipment for farming and agriculture classes.
• •The school must add the same amount of money as the grant to buy or rent the equipment.
• •The money from the grant and the school must only be used for farming and agriculture class equipment, nothing else.

A high school wants to start a new class to teach students how to use tractors and other farming machines.

The school can ask the state for money to help buy these machines. But the school must also spend its own money, equal to what the state gives. For example, if the state gives $10,000, the school must also spend $10,000. All this money can only be used to buy or rent farming machines for the class.
