§ 45423 Employee Salary Transfer Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work for a school and get moved to a new job paid by the county, your pay stays the same.
  • •Your future raises will follow the county's pay rules, not the old school's rules.
  • •You won’t lose money because of the move.

Example

A teacher gets moved from a school job to a county job.

The teacher’s pay stays the same right away, and any raises later will follow the county’s pay schedule.
